Reaching Halfway Amsterdam before either of you has landed
All of it happens in writing. A written arrangement leaves the address, the hour and the length sitting where both of you can check them from two time zones, which is worth more here than on any site written for guests who are already in the city.
Accuracy comes first and discretion second. A spoken booking depends on two people hearing the same thing, and on a reunion evening there are three parties and at least two clocks involved. A written one does not depend on anybody's hearing at all.
A first message is easy to answer when it carries six things:
- Where you are staying, which a district covers until a room number exists.
- The hour you want, given in Amsterdam time, with your own time beside it if that makes it clearer.
- The length you want, whether that is sixty minutes, ninety, two hours, three or a whole night.
- One therapist between the two of you, or a therapist each.
- A name from the profiles, if the two of you have already settled on one.
- When the later flight lands, if the evening depends on it.
Back in the same thread comes a name, a figure for that length, and the window she will arrive inside. Nothing is asked of either of you before that, and no deposit is requested until a booking has actually been agreed.
Writing from two places at once
Keep it to one thread. If the partner who booked is going to be in the air when the confirmation lands, say so and give the hour by which a reply can still be read. If the two of you want to change something after the deposit, one message from the thread that holds the booking settles it faster than two messages from two numbers.
If your room is at one of the airport hotels near Schiphol, say that in the first line. Those are arranged rather than quoted, because the journey out is agreed with you before anything is fixed.
What the thread cannot do
It cannot tell you what your building allows, cannot book or change a room, and will not contact anybody for you. It answers on therapists, techniques, timing, length and payment, and it answers those properly. The questions page may get there before you write and the booking page sets out the order of the messages.
