One free move, for a date that has shifted
A confirmed booking can be moved to another date once at no cost, provided the request arrives a day ahead and the new date is within fourteen days.
One change of date is free. Three conditions attach to it and all three are simple: the request has to reach the thread more than twenty-four hours before the booked hour, the new date has to fall inside fourteen days, and it is one move rather than a standing right to keep moving. With those met, the deposit travels across intact and nothing is kept.
Why long-distance couples use it most
Because a trip built on two flights has twice the chance of one of them misbehaving. A seat rebooked by an airline, a missed connection, a shift swapped at short notice: each of these is a moved date rather than a lost booking, and the free move is what makes booking eight weeks out comfortable rather than risky.
A second move, or a late one
Either is measured on the notice scale exactly as a cancellation sent at that moment would be, and whatever the scale does not keep travels on to the new date. So a second move made a week ahead still costs nothing; a first move asked for two hours before the booked time does not.
Write early, even without details
The scale reads from the moment your message landed rather than from the moment your situation resolved. A line saying a flight has slipped and the new time is not yet published is worth more than an exact message sent three hours later. The notice scale explains what each step costs.
